One Year in Office: NCPC Boss, Rev. Yakubu Pam Urge Nigerians to Embrace Peace for Development to Thrive

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam has urged Nigerians to embrace peace in order for meaningful development to be achieved.

He said Nigeria is in dire need of enduring peace, unity and genuine reconciliation if the Nation is to attain socioeconomic development.
“I need peace, you need peace, we all need peace and we must all work together to achieve peace”

“I must acknowledge at the onset of the journey that the Peace Component that was added to my basic responsibility was a task I saw must be achieved. So, I gladly accepted it with every sense of loyalty and humility” he said.

Rev. Pam disclosed that his one Year stay in office has accorded him greater insight into the rudiments of bureaucracy.

Rev. Yakubu Pam made the disclosures during an event held at the corporate Headquarters of the Commission in Abuja to mark his one year since assumption of office as the 3rd Executive Secretary of the Commission.

He commended the support and cooperation of the management team and staff which has been providing him the bureaucratic compass to operate.
He lauded the teamwork and cordial working relationship being exhibited by the employees of the Commission.
He charged the staff to be more committed, demonstrate hard work and concentrate on issues that will build the Commission.

He attributed the successes recorded at the Commission so far to the dedication, commitment and immense contributions of the Staff.

Speaking on behalf of the Staff of the Commission, the Director of Administration of the Commission, Mr. Aliyu Kwabe Barnabas lauded the NCPC Boss’ integrity, uprightness and for always consulting the management team in decision making.

Mr. Barnabas appreciated the NCPC Boss for the glory he has brought and goodwill he attracted to the Commission within the short time has been at the helm of affairs as well as working assiduously to achieve its mandate.

He described his one year in office as a period that witnessed landmark achievements and progress.

The event featured the unveiling of the Commission’s Anthem and presentation of the Nigerian Pilgrim Magazine.
