The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong has approved the appointment of Mr. Haggai Haruna Gutap as the Technical Administrative Head of the State COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Coordinating Office.
Until this appointment, Mr. Haggai Gutap was the Director-General of the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA).

Gov. Lalong has earlier approved the setting up of the State CARES Steering Committee to fast track the implementation of the programme in three result areas aimed at reducing the negative effect of COVID-19 on households and MSMEs in the State.
This is in compliance with the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Programme.

The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Prof. Danladi Abok Atu and made available to this medium.

Gov. Lalong in the same letter also approved the appointment of Mr. Wuyep Bomkam Ali as the New Director-General of PLASMIDA who until his appointment was the Director of Administration and Finance of the agency.

According to the letter, all appointments take immediate effect.
