Jos based industrialist  offers free scholarship to 5 less privileged children in Plateau, receives award as best manufacturer of plastic products in northern Nigeria

Jos based industrialist  Chief Dr Nelson Uba Mkparu , on Wednesday  awarded a one-year scholarship to 5 less privileged children  in the state  .

Mkparu who is the Chief Executive Officer of NELMACO Global Resources , said the gesture was part of the company,s corporate responsibilities to ensure that every child in the society is educated ,because educational is the bedrock of the society .

He made this known while receiving an  award from a  Non governmental Organization   First Samaritan love foundation  as  a pillar of Job creation in the state and the most  influential  business  man in Northern Nigeria  as well as the best manufacturer of plastic products in northern Nigeria 

The industrialist , also said the scholarship  was a way to demonstrate  his  love for education.

“The company is doing this as part of its social responsibilities and to encourage students in their education,’’ more students would be awarded scholarship too “.

He expressed gratitude to the first Samaritan love foundation for the award and promised to continue to do more for the down trodden in society .

 Mkparu also  called on  youths of the country to be engaged in productive ventures rather than indulging in frivolities.

 He said he is willing to partner with the state government to develop Plateau state in terms of creating Job opportunities to the teeming youths in order to reduce Youth restiveness and poverty in the State.

“To me Plateau is home and remains the safest place to stay and do business in the country .

“Many people also come from far and near to buy our products, I have people who come all the way from Cameron and other parts of Northern Nigeria to buy our products, what motivated me to go into the business in Plateau was because of the friendly nature of the people and the weather, before I went into this bussines, I carried out a research and discovered that Nigeria does not have a single indigenous pipe making company as most are been run and owned by Indians and other foreigners, so I took the bold step to venture into it and so far I have no regrets”.

Executive Director of First Samaritan love foundation  Dandaura Takalis Daspan ,said the NGO is determined to better the lives of the downtrodden in local society .

We are determined to ensure that every child in the society is educated .
