Election for the Gubernatorial and house of assembly slated for Plateau on Saturday will go as planned as everything has been put in place. This was stated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Plateau State.
The Deputy Director in charge of Voter Education and Publicity of the commission, Mr. Osaretin Imahieyeorobo who was speaking to newsmen in Jos stated that all lapses encountered during the March 28th election have been rectified.

The Deputy Director in charge of Voter Education and Publicity of the commission, Mr. Osaretin Imahieyeorobo who was speaking to newsmen in Jos stated that all lapses encountered during the March 28th election have been rectified.
Imahieyeorobo said that all materials needed for the successful conduct of the election has been received by the state office. He said the issue of transportation has been sorted and materials will arrive polling units on time so that election commences on time.
He restated the impartiality of INEC in the conduct of the election and said the calls for the resignation of the resident electoral commissioner of the state by the All Progressives Congress (APC) was unnecessary and a distraction.
The deputy director said that the commission will provide the platform for a level playing field for all contestants in the Saturday election.
