The State Organising Secretary of the party, Mr Mike Dachom stated that the news is false and that the state deputy Governor, Mr Ignatius Longjang, Senator Joshua Dariye, Senator-elect Jeremiah Useni, Chief Jethro Akun, Senator Victor Lar and others were still members of the PDP.

Dachom said that the news was orchestrated by people who are hell bent on causing division so as to score points for the opposition APC in the state. He said that PDP was still one family with a solid foundation and that it was a party cherished by Plateau people.

The Organising Secretary said that the party was going into the contest with full determination so as to retain the Governorship and majority of the House of Assembly seats in the state despite the fact that it lost at the centre to the APC’s General Muhammadu Buhari.
