Senator Simon Mwadkwon PhD, Nigeria’s former Senate Minority Leader of the 10th Senate has urged the Citizens of Nigeria to embrace peace and live in harmony with one another in order to achieve the much need progress and development at all levels.
He made the call at the Special Sallah Luncheon organized by Hon. Kabiru Sani “Garkuwa” on Tuesday 16th April, 2024 at Dogon Dutse Jos, Plateau State.
He urged the Guests to make humanity their priority above any other consideration when treating People.
He admonished the Citizens of Plateau State to continue to pray for the Governor Caleb Mutfwang-led administration to succeed and contribute their quota to the actualization of a more united, peaceful and prosperous Plateau State in tandem with the vision of the present administration in the State.
He lauded the Initiator of the Luncheon and urged him to sustain same saying it has significant impact on peace building, unity and harmonious living.
Earlier in his remarks while acknowledging the presence of the Dignitaries that graced the event the Organizer of the Luncheon, Hon. Kabiru Sani disclosed that the initiative was borne out of his desire to foster unity, promote peaceful coexistence and harmonious living among the People irrespective of ethnic, religious and political inclinations considering the animosity that characterized the past on account of the crisis that affected Jos North Local Government Area and other parts of the State that left many dead and property and means of livelihood destroyed.
He called on the People to give Governor Caleb Mutfwang the needed support to succeed in his good plans he has for the State and the Citizens.
Alh. Aminu Abdullahi the PDP Chairman of Jos North LGA, Hon. Samuel Dalla Umaru the Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Jos North LGA, Hon. Bashir Lawandi Datti the Commissioner Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and Hon. Kaneng Pwajok in their separate remarks appreciated the initiative of Hon. Kabiru Sani which they said is geared towards uniting the people and building peace.
They charged religious Leaders to speak to the Youths against drug abuse and other criminal tendencies that have adverse effects on the Society.
Guests were treated to sumptuous delicacies and other forms of refreshment to spice up the event.
The Director General of the Plateau State Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) Hon. Samuel Dapiya, Hon. Hitler Pwajok the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youths, Hon. Danjuma Azi former Member Plateau State House of Assembly Jos North/West Constituency, Hon. Dalyop Mancha, Hon. Joshua Sambo, Hon. Simon Pam, Hon. Sati Gwom, Hon. Abigail Nyako, Abdullahi Salisu, Lawan Adam, Supervisory Councillors, Media Assistants to the Governor from Jos North, prominent Politicians and religious Leaders graced the occasion.
