Former Nigeria’s Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Simon Mwadkwon PhD has urged the new Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mrs Kemi Nanna Nandap to see her appointment to head the service as divine and thus she must serve the Nation meticulously saying by so doing, she would be making Plateau State and the Nation proud.

Dr. Simon Mwadkwon made this known as the Representative of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang during the Swearing-in of the New Head of the Nation’s Immigration Service which held on Friday 1st March, 2024 at the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters in Abuja.
He said her elevation to the office of the Comptroller General didn’t come as a surprise considering her wealth of experience and having served in various capacities such as the the Comptroller in charge of the Plateau State Command, Comptroller at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) Command, Lagos and later the Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) overseeing the Migration Directorate of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) which today is a tremendous success.

In his words “Your illustrious service record spans various Commands, showcasing your impeccable character, uncompromising integrity and seasoned leadership within the Nigeria Immigration Service. These outstanding contributions were duly acknowledged by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria hence this elevation. I am optimistic that you would perform exceptionally well and make us proud putting into consideration your wealth of experience and expertise garnered throughout your Years of diligent service to the Nation. Kindly accept the best wishes of the Governor and the peace loving Citizens of Plateau State”

The New Comptroller General, Mrs Kemi Nanna Nandap appreciated the Governor and People of Plateau State for the support and solidarity displayed to her all through her career.
While urging the Citizens of Plateau State and Nigeria to give her the necessary support to succeed, she promised to justify the trust and confidence reposed in her with optimal performance and achieving the overall mandate of the NIS.
