All is now set for the 20th Anniversary of Rhythm of Praise Festival by NuGroove Multimedia scheduled to take place on Sunday 24th March, 2024 at the Ten Commandments Dwei Du in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
This was made known by one of the Organizers, King Benny Bello during an interactive session with Journalists at the Conference Room of Kefiano Creative Hub Jos, the Plateau State Capital on Friday 1st March, 2024.
He said taking cognisance of the tragic Christmas Eve Killings in parts of Bokkos and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas and the violent attacks in Mangu Local Government Area all in Plateau State that led to loss of numerous lives and destruction of property as well as the prevailing economic challenges bedeviling the Nation, they saw the urgent need for divine Intervention in tackling the mentioned challenges hence the theme of the anniversary edition “Peace in the Storm”.
While drawing inspiration from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, the Organizers charged Believers to give thanks to God in all circumstances.
He further stated that Rhythm of Praise focus is to provide a veritable platform for collective worship and supplication, to seek peace inspite of the turbulent moments as depicted by the theme “Peace in the Storm”
He said “Rhythm of Praise has transcended mere musical performances to become a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change in the lives of many. Countless youths have found mentorship and numerous individuals have embraced the saving knowledge of Christ through this annual gathering”
The concert will see the likes of the famous Panam Percy Pam, Ebuka Songs, Had, NuGroove, Pastor Jerry Ogbeba, the Jos Community Mass Choir, Gospel All Stars and a host of others thrilling the audience.
The concert is open to all without gate fees and shuttle buses would be provided at major locations within Jos to convey persons to the Venue.
The Governor of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Cmr. Humphrey Iroegbu “Color” said the event is remarkable saying his Association will accord the necessary support to the event which according to him is aimed at promoting peace and unity in the State.
Earlier in his remarks, Pastor Jerry Ogbeba said the Organisers deemed it fit to engage Stakeholders in order to partner and synergy to have a successful event.
While unveiling the event proper, Mrs Tina Percy Paul lauded the consistency of the Organizers admonishing them to sustain the event on account of its impact to the People. She said Plateau State is a home of music and has produced great Superstars who are doing the State proud both locally and internationally.
In 2004 by Pastor Jerry Ogbeba and King Benny Bello birthed one of the largest gospel music concerts across the Middle Belt and Northern Nigeria, which was named Rhythm of Praise hosted by Fountain Music Bauchi and NuGroove Multimedia Jos, powered by Panam Music World. This concert has grown steadily in scale and significance over the Years.
