Prof. Danladi Matawal Facilitates Donation of Equipment to Faculty of Engineering University of Jos

Engineering equipment facilitated by Prof Danladi Slim Matawal were yesterday the 1st of March, 2021 commissioned at the University of Jos.

Prof. Matawal who is the Former Director General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NIBRRI) had contracted the supply of the engineering equipments to Controls Scientific Ltd, Milan-Italy while still in office. Subsequently, the equipment which had been cleared at the ports, delivered, installed, calibrated, tested and Staff Trained on how to operate them were formally delivered by Professor Samson Duna the current DG/CEO of NBRRI to the University of Jos with Prof Matawal as Chairman of the occasion.

Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof Sebastine Maimako who peformed the commisioning appreciated Prof. Matawal for the donation, urging the current DG/CEO of NIBRRI, Prof. Duna to emulate his predecessor by sending more engineering equipment to the school.

Also, he enjoined staff to put into good use the scientific equipment in the area of Geotechnical Engineering to lift the University to an enviable height through the production of high quality graduates.

Present at the event were Deputy Vice Chancellors of the school, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Professor Stephen Mallo, Head of Department Civil Engineering, Dr Titus Ketkukah.
