The National Coordinator of Prayer Force Network, Amb. John Pofi has described the silence by President Buhari over the attack on Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State as the peak of executive rascality.

Amb. Pofi said though he is optimistic that the Nation will move out of its failed state, he is worried by the torrents of disgraceful drama in high places which are pointer that Nigeria is not a sane Nation.

He said the attack and attempt to assassinate the Governor is barbaric, demonic, archaic, unacceptable, threatening and a deadly precedence.

His full text reads;

AMB JOHN POFI SAYS PRESIDENT BUHARI’S SILENCE OVER ATTACK ON GOVERNOR ORTOM IS EXECUTIVE RASCALITY.

I have observed happenings in recent days, coming in quick succession with lots of pessimism.

Not that I have lost hope on the viability of Nigeria moving out of its failed state status, but the torrents of disgraceful drama in high places are pointer to the brutal fact that ours is not a sane society, ours is more of deception and self centeredness which is despairing, I must confess.

Up to the time am writing this piece, there is no tangible order from the presidency or other relevant quaters on what happened to the Governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom except the usual “condemnation,” “brought to book,” “fish out, “etc coming from all those who are supposed to take action and stop this demonic act from happening henceforth.

The reason why I earlier said that the situation is despairing is because if a serving executive Governor with full pharapanelia of office can be attacked in a broad daylight, hmmm, I wonder who is safe in this nation.

The Fulani Nationality Movement, FUNAM, fully aware that like many attacks it carried out on innocent Nigerians, and went scot free, nothing will happen in this case either, quickly and proudly came out, beat its chest and told the world that it carried out the attack on Governor Ortom, and I bet you, nothing will happen.

While I am not in any way holding briefs for the embattled governor, I have to categorically say, without fear of being killed nor contradiction that I stand with Ortom on the anti opened grazing laws enacted in Benue state, and other laws and steps taken to end the aged long farmer- herder clashes that have driven us many steps back to the stone age while nations of the world have moved to the next century.

The act is barbaric, demonic, archaic, unacceptable, threatening and a deadly precedence.
So, if any governor enact laws in favour of the majority of the people who elected him, any tribe that feels threatened by such law(s) should start hunting for him kawai. Haba.

I will not be surprised if in his characteristics manner, the president of the federal republic of Nigeria will come out and say he is not aware of what happened to Ortom.

Which ever, let me use this medium to call on the president and commander in chief of the armed forces, Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency warn his kinsmen to leave Ortom alone because anything that happens to him will lay a solid foundation for the distablisation of this detablised nation.
