The Plateau Youth Council (PYC) has called on the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission to make available more employment opportunities for youths in Plateau State.

PYC Chairman, Cmr. Lot Adas made the plea when he led the Executives of the group to the Chairman of the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission, Chief. Barr. Robert Taple for a courtesy call.

The visit was in continuation of the Plateau Youth Council’s engagements with ministries, agencies, establishments, boards and parastatals.

He said the visit was to familiarize itself with the Commission as a major partner in the rebuilding process, identify with the commission as well as seek areas of partnership with the commission on how to create opportunities for the teeming youths on the Plateau.
The State Youth Leader pleaded with the commission to support the Youth Council to achieve its goals and objectives for the entire Youths of Plateau.

In his remark, the Chairman of the Plateau State local government service commission, Chief. Barr. Robert Taple congratulated the Comr. Adas leadership for successfully coming on board after passing through the rigorous process of election and thanked the leadership for finding the commission worthy of being visited by the Council. He challenged the leadership to call on all Plateau Youths who have been gainfully employed to always be punctual in their various places of works and assured the PYC leadership of more employment opportunities for the Youths in no distant time.

He however admonished the youths to discover and take advantage of valuable opportunities since white collar jobs are not forthcoming. He assured the Youth council of the commission’s willingness and readiness to support and partner with the Youth council at all times in the interest of the generality of the Youths of Plateau.
