The Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency Plateau State, Rep. Simon Mwadkwon Ph.D has charged the security agencies to trace, track and arrest killers of the citizens of Kuru Jos South LGA where 12 persons were killed and 5 injured, Zogu in Miango Bassa LGA where 2 persons were murdered, others wounded and the attack in Byei & Kum Villages of Riyom LGA which were well coordinated and carried out simultaneously in the Evening of Sunday 13th June, 2021.

Dr. Mwadkwon described the killings and attacks as inhuman, wicked and callous which are threat to peaceful coexistence and harmonious living.

The Member said such attacks and killings are surmountable if intelligence reports are treated seriously. He said the security have treated most of the early warning signs and intelligence gatherings with levity that one is forced to say they are part of the aggressors.

He called on the remnant good security agencies to be more proactive and employ better strategies in tackling insecurity, other criminal activities and curtail future occurrence. He also call on communities to defend themselves from any form of attack because to do so is within the ambit of the law.

The Lawmaker urged Government at all level to live up to their core Constitutional responsibility of protecting the citizens’ lives and property.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of those killed, speedy recovery recovery to those injured and for God to give the people the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable losses.
