The Plateau State House of Assembly has elected a new Speaker. He is the Member representing Pankshin North Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dewan Kudangbena Gabriel.
His nomination, declaration and subsequent swearing in came shortly after the resignation of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Moses Sule.

In the same vein, Rt. Hon. Timothy Dantong representing Riyom Constituency was nominated and sworn in as the Deputy Speaker following the resignation of the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Fom Gwottson Dalyop.
