The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has assured the Citizens of the commitment of his administration to provide good governance and visionary leadership that will translate to a peaceful, safe and prosperous State.
He appreciated the Citizens of the State for the confidence reposed in the present administration and promised not to disappoint same.
The Governor dropped the hints to the mammoth crowd upon his arrival after an official trip.
He hinted that he was out of the State to attract foreign direct investments (FDIs) and development to the State which will soon be visible and felt by the Citizens. He said he will carry all the Citizens along irrespective of ethnic, religious and political inclinations. “What God started on May 29th, 2023 He will surely complete” he said.
He admonished the people not to despair but be positive for a better, peaceful and prosperous Plateau State is ahead.
He said “Go back and encourage the people, tell them what God has given us cannot be stolen. We are in government to better the State and the People as we are poised to bring positive results to the State and take it to enviable height”
He urged the judiciary to discharge justice and be the hope of the people. He admonished the people to remain peaceful and work to ensure a prosperous Plateau State is attained.
“I know I am loved by the People and they have aligned to my leadership because we are providing them with good governance. No religion preaches hate, we must love one another and pray for a better Plateau State” he posited.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Plateau State, Hon. Chris Hassan disclosed that the Citizens of the State spoke loud and gave PDP massive support which culminated to the victories recorded by the party at all levels in the State.
He assured the People that the mandates given the PDP during the 2023 General Elections in the State at all levels are intact and cannot be taken by persons who don’t mean well for the State and its Citizens for their selfish reasons.
Hon. Sunday Abdul speaking on behalf of the Stakeholders present asserted that God will protect the mandate freely given to Gov. Mutfwang. He commended the Governor for working round the clock to attract investment and development to the State.
“If you know you have the people, go into election and win, there is no need trying to get power through the back door” he said.
He urged Judges to give judgments with fear of God.
Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Sule in his remarks appreciated the people for the votes given to PDP and said they wouldn’t disappoint the people but work to protect the collective interest of the State against external forces who are working tirelessly to see the downfall of the State. He said the Governor mean well for the State and will work towards transforming it.
Sen. Simon Mwadkwon PhD called on the citizens to remain calm and peaceful and ensure no blood is shed. He harped on the need for unity for the progress of the State and said the people have seen a Leader in Gov. Mutfwang on account of his sterling leadership. He urged the people of Plateau North to come out en masse to vote massively for the PDP in the forthcoming fresh election ordered by the Appeal Court as they have always done. He said he respects the judiciary urging his Supporters to remain positive to give the party resounding victory again and admonished the people to pray against those who don’t mean well for the State. According to him “a real Politician Win Election by votes not by Proxy”. He lauded the Governor for his effort to attract development to the State.
He appreciated the people of Plateau North for voting for him and lauded the Governor for supporting him to emerge the Senate Minority Leader.
