Barely few Days to the general elections, former Secretary of Mangu Local Government Council and a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, Barr. Simon Barry has withdrawn his membership from the Party.

The former House of Assembly Candidate for Mangu South Constituency, Plateau State for the 2015 general elections in a letter dated 13th February, 2023 and addressed to the APC Chairman Chakfem Ward Mangu LGA which was made available to this medium said his decision to resign from the ruling party was based on the strength of his personal and political conviction after wide consultation with his numerous supporters, political associates and family.

“I hereby find it compelling and auspicious to withdraw henceforth my membership of the APC on PERSONAL GROUND.
I return herewith, my membership registration slip No-PL/MGU/11/18919″ the resignation letter read.

Barr. Barry an astute political figure, seasoned Administrator and a legal Practitioner was the Secretary of Mangu LGC from 1991 to 1993, He was one time Plateau state Chairman All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) 2001-2008, Ex-National Secretary of the Forum of ANPP State Party Chairmen and served in numerous committees in the ruling APC.
He is presently the Managing Partner SB BARRY & CO. ( SATMUN SOLICITORS) FCT Abuja.

At the time of filing this report, we are yet to officially get the party he may be defecting too but from all indications, he may be heading to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which was once his political Party.
