The minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has said that the Supreme Court judgement which he has been served will be enforced through political or legal means and when it is done, there would be no appeal.
He warned those that are hoping to use appealing a court judgement to stay in power to forget about it if they are nursing that in their mind.

The minister while answering questions on Radio Nigeria on Saturday monitored by www.bsnsports.com.ng said: “When i got the Supreme Court judgement and studied it, it signifies sweeping development in the NFF and i said there are two ways to enforce the judgement, we have political and legal enforcement and i gave example of what happened to Nigeria’s Bakassi under former president Olusegun Obasanjo.”
“As the Supreme Court has given its decision, next to Appeal is to God in heaven.” He warned.

The minister also stated that he had suggested that a consensus should be reached when he resumed office so that both sides could reach an agreement for peace to reign. According to him, he was surprised to be accused of being biased by many people and the national assembly that he made the suggestion because Ambassador Christopher Giwa is from his state, Plateau state.
He stated further that he knew as a lawyer that if the issue is dragged to court there will be a Tsunami sweeping the NFF aside.

“When i read the judgement in the past, i invited and told them that the only way to solve the problem is to come back and settle it politically, there must be consensus among them and everybody must be carried along. The moment i said this, i was criminalised and was even invited to the national assembly and asked to explain why.

That i was trying to share the mandate of one person with another.
“It was done in good faith but i was accused of favouring Giwa because he comes from my state.”

“Something i hate is when i am accused of being biased that is the greatest allegation that can make me to take unpalatable decision. So i withdrew and allowed them to continue with their battle in court but as a lawyer i knew there is a Tsunami if that issue should go through the legal process and ultimately it goes to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court has given its decision but next to Appeal is to God in heaven.” He concluded.
