NCPC to Partner VON on Quality Coverage of Pilgrimage Exercise

The Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC Bishop Stephen Adegbite has said the Commission would partner with the Voice Of Nigeria in the promotion of Christian Pilgrimage exercise.
He disclosed this on Tuesday, 5th February, 2024 while playing host to the Director General of the Voice of Nigeria, Mr Jibrin Ndace and his Management team who paid him a courtesy visit at the Corporate headquarters of the Commission in Abuja.


According to the NCPC boss, ” we are going to partner with VON and we must work together in synergy”, he said.
He assured the Director General that he would ensure that the activities of the Commission are well projected and given prominence by way of adequate coverage through various VON platforms.
Bishop Adegbite further emphasized the need for team work amongst management and staff as a sure way of achieving result.


He called on Nigerians to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola TInubu, stating that the Commission,s Pilgrimage this year is ” Renewed Hope and Satisfaction”.
He maintained that all that we need in Nigeria is prayer and as such we should consistently pray for our leaders and for peace in Nigeria.
He noted that the assignments and tasks in NCPC are beyond pilgrimage, stating that NCPC provides a veritable platform to unite and foster peace amongst Christians and other faiths.
Earlier, the Director General of Voice Of Nigeria, Mr Jibrin Ndace congratulated the NCPC boss for his well deserved appointment. His words, ” I am here to congratulate you and to wish you well”.
He commended him for his consistent prayer for the nation.
Mr Ndace also commended President Bola TInubu for his capacity and eye for the best which has become a Hallmark of his administration.
He briefed the NCPC boss about the mandate of VON which is basically hinged on external broadcast which helps to tell the Nigerian story for external audience and help to enhance Nigeria foreign policy.
He assured his host that he was determined to build on the legacies of the founding fathers of VON.
He further hinted that the organization under his watch plans to expand the number of languages that the Organization broadcast to the outside world.
He described every Pilgrim as an ambassador of his country, and are expected to come back with positive feedbacks after their return from the Holy land.


He explained that in the partnership with NCPC, VON should be part of the coverage of the Pilgrimage exercise in the holy land. His words, ” I want you to see VON as a veritable platform to advance the cause of Christian Pilgrimage in Nigeria”.
He further promised to secure a dedicated programme for NCPC so that the Commission could leaverage on it to disseminate information about Christian Pilgrimage in Nigeria.
