Mudslinging against Rt. Hon George Edwards Daika an exercise in futility.

The attention of George Daika Support Group has been drawn to the unprovoked personality attack on our principal by a fellow aspirant for the exhalted position of the Governor of Plateau State.

The attack by the said aspirant negates the promise extracted from the Gubernatorial aspirants by the committee set in place by our party leadership at the State headed by our father, Distinguished Senator Ibrahim Mantu.

For the record, our principal’s ambition is not borne out of desperation but the clamour by the good people of Plateau to have a Governor that will run an inclusive Government that will restore the lost glory of our Dear State, something which is currently lacking.

Rt. Hon George Daika has in the course of his campaign emphasized the need for unity which is key to dislodging the APC in Plateau. Also, he has stated that his administration will focus on restoring peace and security in the State as without such, development will be a mirage. Consequently, he will not be drawn to the divisive campaign of those whose only message is mudslinging of others.

That the said aspirant will bring the religion of the mother of Rt. Hon George Daika who is a Muslim faithful tells a lot about how such a person will divide Plateau if given the mandate.

Our principal is proud to have been brought up by a Christian father and Muslim mother. His unique upbringing place him as the right candidate to rebuild the faulty bridge of divide that exist in Plateau State.

The said aspirant rather than peddling malicious and unfounded rumours that Rt. Hon George Daika is been sponsored by Governor Lalong should refute the news making rounds that he went cap in hand begging a former Vice President of our country and now a Presidential aspirant for finance which is what is aiding his campaign through an APC chieftain, Amb. Yahaya Kwande.

The propaganda that Rt. Hon George Daika is been sponsored by Governor Lalong is not only lame but calls to question the mental state of those peddling such. It will be recalled that no Gubernatorial aspirant has come under sustained attacks from the APC led Government in Plateau like Rt. Hon George Daika; the destruction and revocation of his campaign billboard and press statements notably that of Hon. Longyen, the SSA on Media to Governor Lalong.

We are happy that the people of Plateau as exemplified by the massive support our principal has garnered thus far are not taken by obvious cooked propaganda.

Our campaign will continue to remain issue based devoid of bitterness or character assassination knowing that we need a united front after the 30th September primary election that we are poised to emerge victorious and are willing to support whosoever emerges in a free, fair, and credible primary election.

We solicit the continuous support of our party delegates, stakeholders and party members as Rebuilding Plateau is a collective resolve and with Rt. Hon George Edwards Daika as PDP flag bearer, Governor Lalong will start preparing his handover note.
