Lalong has interest of Plateau at heart -Group

Plateau Regeneration Group PRG on Wednesday said the Plateau State governor Simon Lalong, has proven that he has the interest of the State at heart and should be supported if he decides to re contest the Plateau 2019 Governorship election.
Newly elected President of the group Barrister Katlong Danbaba , made this known while speaking with newsmen in Jos the Plateau State capital .
“Our Governor has also proven that he is a listening governor who is determined to better the lives of citizens of Plateau .
He said with the developmental projects ongoing in Plateau State, Lalong has proven that he has what it takes to take Plateau to the promise land .
“I am calling on citizens of the state to support Gov Lalong in the forthcoming 2019 Governorship if he decides to re run. ”
I am happy to to report that significant changes and appreciable progress have been made in transforming Plateau state and our communities as evident in the laudable ongoing and completed inherited projects across the state and Local government areas by the present APC government in the state .
To me “Gov Lalong has not failed Plateau people since his assumption of
office as governor of the state, go to most local government and see the rate of ongoing road projects .”
“ As a group We commend our Governor for his efforts at restoring peace in
Plateau and for carrying along all
tribes along in governance since
assumption of office.
“The Rescue Government in
Plateau is working with a clear
vision and objectives of securing
a legacy of peace.
“We commend our governor
for completing some projects
he inherited from the previous
administration and for the
prompt payment of workers’
salaries and his efforts at reviving
moribund companies in the state.
“The efforts of our Governor in reviving this moribund companies and acquiring of BARC farm would boost Agricultural and commercial
activities in the state and also
reduce crime.“
Lalong has done well in tackling poverty by empowerment thousands of Youths in the seventeenth local government through the Simon Lalong empowerment scheme as well as employment of about a thousand secondary school teachers in the state.
Danbaba also called on the
governor not to be distracted
but to remain focus and continue
to provide the dividend of
democracy to the people of the
state.
“We call on governor Lalong
to continue to sustain the tempo
having started so well.
“
“We also commend Lalong for
reviewing, approving and releasing
of backlog of thousands of staff
promotions in the Civil Service
Commission, Teachers Service
Commission, Local Government
Service Commission and the
restructuring in the Civil Service in
terms of proper placement of those
that were deprived of their rightful
places. This exercise saw to the
emergence of a new Head of Service
and appointment of new permanent
Secretaries, strictly based on merit.”
The group equally commended
the Director of Press and
Public affairs to the governor,
Emmanuel Samuel Nanle for his roles in supporting the Lalong-led administration in the State
As a group we also commend our governor Simon Lalong for the nomination of Yakubu Dati as a Commissioner in his cabinet .
