Emmanuel said, “Four persons have been arrested in connection with the incident and are undergoing investigation.
One of the family members Pastor Jonah Yildum described the kidnapping of the oldman as unfortunate and new to the people of the State.
Yildum lauded the security personnel in their effort to track down the kidnappers in time, “We pray that God should touch their hearts so that they will repent from this evil way.
It would be recalled that Pa Dariye Defwan, 87 years old was kidnapped by unknown gunmen who stormed the home of the octogenarian in Mushere District of Bokkos Local Government Area of the State, at about 7.30 pm last Saturday.
They were said to have shot sporadically to scare away people and in that confusion whisked away their victim in a motorcycle and headed towards Wamba in neighbouring Nasawara State.
Sources said the kidnappers left a note in which they made their monetary demands of $10, 000 dollars.
