Barely twenty four hours after signing a peace pact, the All Progressive Congress( APC) in Plateau State has threaten to withdraw from the election Peace Pact it signed with other Parties if the allegations that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State is buying off Permanent Voters Cards PVCs of citizens in exchange for money, and food items is not investigated.

          Barely twenty four hours after signing a peace pact, the All Progressive Congress( APC) in Plateau State has threaten to withdraw from the election Peace Pact it signed with other Parties if the allegations that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State is buying off Permanent Voters Cards PVCs of citizens in exchange for money, and food items is not investigated.

          The Chairman of the APC in the State, Hon. Latep Dabang stated this Wednesday in Jos, during a courtesy call to the Resident Electoral
Commissioner in the State. Dabang had alleged that the PDP has resorted to underhand tactics, including the purchase of PVCs in the wake of the recent postponement of the general elections.

          “We in the APC are aware that their are plans by the PDP to rig the governorship elections in the State. The APC Chieftain called on its members and supporters in particular, and Nigerians in general, not to sell their PVCs under any guise, saying that is the only power they have to effect a meaningful change that can ensure the delivery of democratic dividends to them.

          “Our members have alerted us to the fact that PDP councilors in Plateau State have been collecting PVC,s in exchange of money , we saw
people queuing to collect bags of rice and Fertilizers in exchange of their PVC”. He alleged. “We condemn this act and called on INEC to investigate this act. He stressed.

          Responding, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Godwin Kwanga promised a level playing ground to all the political parties
contesting for 2015 general elections.

Kwanga said ,he will be neutral to all the political parties seeking for various elective positions in the State.
