Hon Nandang Bako Withdraws Petition Against Rep. Beni Lar

An All Progressive Congress ,Candidate for Langtang North/South Federal House of Representative ,Hon Nandang Bako has voluntarily withdrew his petition challenging the election of Hon Beni Butmak Lar of the People Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday 17th June, 2019.
Represented by his counsel, Barr Na’antok Daswar, the petitioners ,Hon Nandang Bako and APC approached the National Assembly Tribunal seeking to quash the case against Hon Beni Lar.
When the matter came for continuation of the prehearing session his counsel said to the tribunal through an oral application to officially withdraw the petition .
According to him, I hereby apply orally through the leadership of this honourable tribunal to withdraw the petition filed on behalf of my client, Hon Nandang Bako.
However, counsel Barr. Hon Beni Lar ,Barr Harrison N. Uguala told the tribunal that he can’t object to the application brought by the petitioners .
The Counsel to PDP ,Barr. Sunday Oyawole who is the 2nd respondent in the suit and 3rd respondent INEC, Barr A.M. Isah all didn’t opposed to the petitioners withdrawing his petition.
They urged the petitioners to compensate them their cost of 100, 000 each and the tribunal adjourned to 20th and 21st June,2019 and 1,2,3 July respectively.
The Chairman of Tribunal has said, consequently to the request before me I hereby dismiss and placed a cost of 50,000 each to be paid to the respondents.
Responding, Barr Na’antok Daswar thanked the tribunal for granting him which has prevented unnecessary waste of litigants’ precious time.
