The APC House of Representative Candidate, Jos South/Jos East constituency and former Commissioner for Works Plateau State, Hon. Pam Dongs has withdrawn his petition challenging the declaration of Rep. Dachung Bagos as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Hon. Pam Dongs had earlier challenged the election of Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos of the PDP who won with over 90,000 votes margin in the last elections.

At the hearing, the Petitioners, APC and Dongs sent an application seeking to withdraws their petition, the tribunal granted their application and dismissed the petition before it.

It would be recalled that before challenging the victory, Hon. Pam Dongs had visited and congratulated Rep. Bagos.

When Viewpoint Nigeria contacted Rep. Bagos for his comment, he said it was thoughtful of the Petitioner to have withdrawn his petition saying his victory was overwhelming as God used the people to elect him.

He said he is where he is today because the people deemed it fit for him to represent them and said he will not disappoint them but justify the mandate given him with optimal performance.

“I am already busy since we were sworn in to ensure i fulfill my campaign promises and was never distracted by the petition”

“It was a wise decision for my opponent to have withdrawn his petition at the tribunal”

“I am poised towards equipping the next generation” he concluded.
