Guber Aspirant Appeals To Party Leaders To Shun Politician Who Woo Them With Money.
Alhaji Habu Muazu, popularly known as Yeriman Kashere, a gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe state, has appealed to party leaders in the state to shun politicians who dish out money to woo them.
“The only way we can secure our future and that of our youths and children is to say no to monetary inducement and vote in credible leaders who mean well for the party and the state.”
Addressing party leaders and stakeholders from Nafada Local Government Area of the state at his resident in Gombe on Wednesday, he said party leaders should also assess each of the aspirant political antecedents, considering their contributions to the society, humanity and the development of the party before making the decision on whom to support or vote for.
“While it is the privilege of people to aspire to any political office, it is your responsibility as party leaders and stakeholders to scrutinize and assess the aspirants, considering their political antecedents and their contributions to humanity and the party, so that you can guide the electorates or your followers.”
Muazu who has declared support for President Mohammadu Buhari reelection promised to continue ward to ward sensitisation and mobilisation to ensure credible election in 2019.
While calling on the leaders to unite towards building a formidable party to capture power from the PDP in the state, he said tribal and religious politics is destructive and should be avoided at all costs.
“We should not antagonize or discriminate each other because of ethnicity or religion, let’s work towards uniting our party supporters not dividing them, we don’t need to bring divisive factors to destroy our party because of political competition.” Said Yeriman Kashere.
The gubernatorial hopeful then urged them to join hands with President Buhari by shunning money politics and focus on politics of development which will help them prosper as a people.
