The National President of Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO), Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop is leading the delegation of illustrious Berom Sons and Daughters from Nigeria to the inaugural Convention of the Berom Community in North America (BCNA).
Da Gyang Dudu is also expected to deliver a paper at the convention slated to hold from 26th to 27th July, 2019 at County Inn and Suites, Pollard Boulevard, Atlanta, Georgia specifically aims to raise funding and awareness for BCNA, to promote the welfare of its tribesmen particularly in Africa.
The Convention’s objective also include finding support for their fellows back in Africa.
BCNA was established by Mr. Nash Pwol, a Nigerian-American theological scholar, with its first official acting President being, Mr. Benjamin Datiri, also a scholar and cleric.
It is currently led by Mrs. Felicia Sodipe and is committed to advancing the cultural heritage of its tribe with special interest on its youths in the diaspora and in the homeland.
The association registered with the United States Government specifically aims to mobilize support for its Nigerian counterparts in Plateau State facing humanitarian challenges.
It also sets to promote educational advancement, particularly in Information Communication Technology among its youths in diaspora and at home.
The maiden convention of the association is expected to hold biannually.
Goodwill messages have been received from Gbong Gwom Jos His Royal Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba CON, Senator I. D. Gyang representing Plateau North, Rep. Dr. Simon Mwadkwon representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, Rep. Dachung Bagos representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Hon. Timothy Dantong representing Riyom Constituency PLHA, Hon. Fom Gwottson Dalyop representing Jos South Constituency PLHA, Hon. Peter Ibrahim Gyendeng representing B/Ladi Constituency PLHA, Hon. Surv. Mrs. Esther Simi Dusu representing Jos North/West Constituency PLHA, and other illustrious sons and daughters.
Among those to attend, are BECO President, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop, Mrs Christie Gavou Ezekiel Best, Ngo Hanatu Dantong and Barr. Gyang Zi.
The convention promises to be colourful and add value to the Berom Nation.
