Plateau State Young Inventor, Luka Zang Bot Listed for Presidential SMEs Award

A 27 year-old inventor, Zang Luka Bot has been listed for the annual Small and Medium Scale Enterprises award by the office of the Vice President.

Mr. Bot  was picked after developing a high capacity power bank from electronic waste.

The Plateau born Chief Executive Officer of  Zang Technologies, based in Jos, Central Nigeria unveiled the first model power bank in May 2018.

The power banks exclusively designed and produced by Zang Technologies have 13000mAh capacity, with 5V/1A power input and 5V/1A output.

Also developed by Mr. Bot is a sand sieving machine and a computer foot mouse.

These projects endeared him to the Presidency’s ease of doing business team led by Vice President Yemi Osibanjo.

He was notified of his nomination on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 after applying in the first week of the month.

He is expected to be accompanied by a state delegation to the ceremony holding next week at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
