CHIEF PUKAT SHEHU BARDE CONDEMNS THE KILLINGS IN IRIGWE LAND, THE UNREST IN JOS NORTH AND BEMOURNS THE DEMISE OF SEN. NASIRU MANTU

Chief Pukat Shehu Barde for the umpteenth time, condemns the incessant killings in Irigwe land and the destruction of their maturing crops, and of course, the recent unrest in Jos north LGA of the state. He emphatically stated that no meaningful progress can be achieved amidst conflicts and violence. Development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace. He further urged all citizens to forgive and never take the law into their hands in order that peace will reign supreme in our dear state.

Chief Pukat, in the same vein, bemourns the passing away of Sen. Nasiru Mantu, which sad event took place in the early hours of 17th August, 2021. He described late Mantu’s demise as a great lost, not only to Plateau central senatorial district, but the state and the country at large. The late Senator’s leadership role will always be remembered. May God grant his soul (Jannatul firdaus) eternal rest and comfort to the family, relations, friends and Plateau state.
