The family of Plateau Elder Statesman, Late Chief Dr. Jethro Akun (JP) SAF-MABOL (SARKIN YAKIN) Ron Kulere has announced Friday 12th February, 2020 as the date for his burial.
Copse will be taken from Air Force hospital mortuary at 7am to COCIN Dadin Kowa, Jos for funeral Service.
At 10am, corpse is expected to leave COCIN Dadin Kowa Jos South for Daffo in Bokkos LGA for final internment.
There shall be Service of Songs at his residence in rayfield, Jos on Thursday 11th February, 2020 by 3pm.
Dr. Jethro Mangam Akun (JP) was born to the family of Galadiman Daffo and Saf Mandung, Da Akun Adawel and Ka Utawal Tuhndok in Mandung Village of Daffo District in 1945 at Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria, he is a fourth of eleven children in Akun’s family.
Akun being a man of many dimensions, was a former Commissioner for information and culture, Plateau State Member State House of Assembly, Member of National Constitutional Conference, former Deputy Governor and PDP Chairman Plateau State, and a successful business man among others.
He is survived by a wife, siblings,
children, grandchildren, friends, relations and many associates.
The Statement by the Family also said all COVID-19 protocol will be strictly observed.

BIOGRAPHY
Chief Dr. Jethro Mangam Akun (JP) was born to the family of Galadiman Daffo and Saf Mandung, Da Akun Adawel and Ka Utawal Tuhndok in Mandung Village of Daffo District in Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State, Nigeria, in 1945.
Being fourth of eleven children, Jethro’s journey to greatness began from Native Authority Primary School, Daffo, and later, Native Authority Senior Primary School, Bokkos where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.
His quest for more educational exploits led him to the prestigious Government Craft School, Pankshin where he obtained a Craft School Certificate, and then went further to Government Technical College, Bukuru (Butex) where he obtained a City and Guilds of London Institute Ordinary and Advanced Level Certificate. Not satisfied with his achievements so far, Jethro proceeded to UAC technical College, Akoka, Lagos, where he demonstrated academic excellence and leadership qualities by obtaining a National Certificate of Education Technical (NCE TECH.). Later on, he enrolled for Advance Diploma in Public Administration in the University of Jos.
Still unsatisfied, Chief Dr. Jethro Akun (JP), out of deep thirst for spiritual enlightenment, went to Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN) where he obtained a Bachelor of Divinity Certificate.
He thereafter proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. In his further pursuit of excellence, he bagged a doctorate degree in Management from Saint-Clement University in the United Kingdom, and was later honored with an honorary doctorate degree of Divinity from the Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN).
Chief Dr. Jethro Akun (JP) was a Fellow of the Chattered Institute of Management, Fellow of Chattered Institute of Human Capital Development and Fellow Chattered Institute of Administrators.
He was a dogged Politician and a Leader par excellence. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to mention a few, Jethro was blessed to lead and serve humanity in various capacities; below is a brief summary of his impactful service:
