Barrister Caleb Mutfwang debunks alleged Endorsement by Senator Jang, describes it as the ploy of APC Moles in PDP

One of the frontrunners and contender for the Gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has described the rumors of his alleged endorsement by Senator Jonah Jang as a mere figment of the imaginations of the authors.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Barrister Caleb Mutfwang and circulated on social media. Barrister Mutfwang described the story of the purported endorsement and agreement to pick Yakubu Jang as running as an unnecessary distraction caused by none other than the moles of the All Progressives Congress (APC)in the PDP who have suggested a protest vote if Barrister Mutfwang is voted.

He described the rumor in his own words as “The same lies…reminiscent of the perpetrators of the 2015 ‘Plateau Project’ which hoodwinked then populace into the tragedy we all are in now”.

He pointed out that the procedure for picking a running mate is the responsibility of the party in consultation with relevant stakeholders which has been the culture since the inception of the PDP.

Mutfwang likened the smear campaign to the ordeal of HE Ahmed Makarfi in 1999, stressing that not only did HE Makarfi survive the fruitless endeavor of demarketing frontliners, he went on to become one of the greatest Governor’s of Kaduna State, adding that Senator (Gen) JT Useini suffered same acrimony and yet became the party’s Candidate and is still with the PDP.

He cautioned that the coming hours are truly defining both for the party and the State, pointing out that Leaders, Stakeholders and Delegates of the party will surely do the right thing by giving Plateau State the best man leading to the 2023 General Elections.
