The Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has constituted the Technical Board of the Plateau Investment and Property Development Company (PIPC).

In a press statement, issued Wednesday by the Director of Press and Publications to the governor, Mr. Emmanuel Nanle, said the action was in line with the recommendations of the transition committee report submitted to government.

According to the statement, the Secretary to Plateau State Government, Hon. Rufus Bature, inaugurated the Board on behalf of the state government, even as he lamented that PIPC has suffered neglect for the past decade, hence the need to re-focus and reposition the company to ensure that it achieve the objectives of its establishment.

“APC government in the state is determined to create the enabling environment for business to strive in the state and PIPC would be granted full autonomy to make it a profit oriented company answerable to government” the governor said.

He added that with the autonomy, the company will raise its money, pay her staff, maintains her assets and property without resorting to government.
