Former Nigeria’s Vice President, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, GCON has clinched the Presidential Ticket of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in a keenly contested election held on Saturday 28th May, 2022 at MKO Abiola International Stadium Abuja.
The former Vice President secured 371 Votes to to defeat his closest rival, His Excellency Barr. Nyesom Wike the Executive Governor of Rivers State who pulled 237 Votes.
Other Aspirants are Oliver Diana 1 vote, Sam O 1 Vote, former Senate President Chief Pius Anyim 14 Votes, Gov. Udom Emmanuel 38 Votes, Bauchi State Governor Sen. Bala Moh’d 20 Votes, Former Senate President Sen. Bukola Saraki 70 Votes.

Chief Returning Officer of the PDP Presidential Electoral Committee, former Senate President, His Excellency declared Alh. Atiku Abubakar winner having scored the highest votes and having met other requirements.
