News reaching ViewPointNigeria indicates that the Joint Traditional Council of Pankshin and Kanke Local Government Areas of Plateau State, has announced Friday, July 3, 2015, as the date of interment of its late paramount ruler, Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong.
Nde Dimlong, 67, who ruled the Ngas people for approximately 20 years, died on Friday June 26, 2015, at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) after a protracted illness.
Mr. Alexander Mwolwus, a member of the Traditional Council, told newsmen in Jos that the earlier date, Wednesday July 1, 2015, would not be feasible as earlier announced, because of several logistical reasons.
Mwolwus, who was the erstwhile Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the immediate past governor, Jonah Jang said, “The Joint Traditional Council in conjunction with the state government has agreed that the burial will hold on Friday, July 3, 2015.
The funeral programme will be kick started by the funeral service at 8:00 am on Friday.
