Plateau Commissioner caution youths against use of illicit drugs

Immediate past commissioner of Local government and chieftaincy affairs in Plateau State Hon Dayyabu Garga on Monday cautioned Youths  in Plateau State to desist from the use of illicit drugs as he noted such action was the leading cause of crime .

Dayyabu  made the call while receiving an award for his out standing performance as Commissioner from  Trans-Africa Student’s initiative (TRASI AFRICA.

The  Ex Commissioner who was among those re nominated by Gov Lalong for Commissioner  listed so many negative reasons why some youth were prone to drugs abuse, which had culminated in their destruction, and added that no matter the challenges of life, no youth should allow himself to be misled into the intake of illicit drugs.

He also rated the Plateau State governor Simon Lalong high saying he is doing excellently well since he became governor of the state. 

He also  said that Lalong has brought sanity and direction to governance in the state .

Our governor Simon Lalong is determined to better the lives of Youths in the state and he is committed to empowering the Youths 

Our governor  State Governor Simon Lalong values youths a lot and see   youth as the backbone of any nation, stressing that our governor always say  the future of any society is the youth and must be engaged in all aspects of national development.

He stressed that APC government is committed to giving the youth its place of relevance in the nation so that they can contribute meaningfully to national development.

The governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong is doing a lot to empower the Youths as recently our State governor  in conjunction with Apurimac and Plateau Peace Building Agency  trained over 21,000 youth and women in entrepreneurship as a means of ending youth restiveness.

He also appealed to the people of Plateau State to continue to support the Simon Lalong led administration in the State if he decides to re contest the 2019 governorship election. 

Presenting the award to the ex Commissioner ,the leader of the delegation who doubles as Secretary General of the African Students Union body Mohammed Ibrahim described the ex Commissioner as a man who has done well in mentoring the youths and also performed well as Commissioner in Plateau State
