Some Youths from Plateau State have came heavily on the group Concerned Local Government Staff (CLGS) for maliciously accusing the President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Plateau State Chapter, Comrade Yohanna Makwin of corruption and nonchalant attitude towards the Welfare of workers in the State. They said the allegations are false, misleading and only exist in the figments of the fabricators’ imagination.

The necessity of truth and the quest to ensure it stands the test of times always is the reason why good people, no matter how short they may be in supply would always be found among mortals.

It is against this backdrop that we have taken the time to set the records straight and expose mischief makers for who they truly are.

Sequel to a “news” publication with the title above, we would like to draw the attention of the general public to the antics of one Daniel Kura who goes about parading himself as a journalist with a so-called blog handle we wouldn’t want to glorify in this piece.

In his attempt to blackmail the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) President, Plateau State Chapter, Comr. Yohana Arandong Makwin, he fabricated blatant lies against the person of the revered NULGE boss, among which include: fraternizing with the current state government, embezzlement of workers salaries and palliatives running into millions among other malicious allegations.

According to him, the purported group; Concerned Local Government Staff (CLGS) under the leadership of Gopep Gotau and Rabo Chinge said Comr. Makwin betrayed the trust and confidence of Local Government workers.

We would like to place on record that the allegations are false, misleading and only exist in the figments of the fabricators’ imagination.

Since the laws of our country are clear that he who alleges must prove, may we state that Comr. Yohana Arandong Makwin has directed his lawyers to initiate legal processes against Mr. Daniel Kura.

He ordinarily is someone who is not worthy of a response as his hurriedly and very poorly done “report” only betrays basic journalistic training and principles of elementary English writing, but for the need to sensitize the public.

Following the above, we call on the Plateau State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) to take appropriate measures against the said Daniel Kura and his likes who are capable of dragging the respected body’s hard-earned reputation to the mud.

He is an example of how not to practice journalism or to say the least, why not to admire the noble profession.

Again, we call on all the relevant security agencies to take action against Daniel Kura, a pathological liar who if left unwatched, is capable of bridging the industrial peace and harmony being enjoyed in Plateau State.

Finally, we categorically request that he be compelled by security agencies to produce the duo of Gopep Gotau as well as Rabo Chinge for questioning and proper accountability as to how they arrived at their claims.
