It was quite a historic moment today at the palace of the the Etsu of Karu where thousands of supporters and well wishers gathered to color and witness the turbaning of Alhaji Mohammed Gambo as the the ‘Sardauna Matasa’ of Karu, Nasarawa state.

Gathered at the ceremony were the high ranking personalities including the executive governor of Nasarawa state, Engr. A.A Sule.

Seated at the event was Amb. Kudangbena Dewan Gabriel who equally came to grace the occasion. Surprising, the event was organized with an award to be presented to deserving individuals by the Etsu of Karu for their contributions to nation building.

 Happily, Amb. Dewan who was the youngest amongst all the high ranking personalities at the event was honored and presented an award tagged; " THE ICON OF HOPE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION " by the Paramount Ruler which he (The Etsu of Karu) said was in recognition to the young man's determination to changing lives positively around the globe.

Receiving the award with awe, the crowd mover said he was surprised by the award looking at the importance attached to it and the person who honored him with such. He felt spurred by the award and pledged to remain a pillar and an Icon of hope to the next generation. Others who were honored with awards at the event include the governor of Nasarawa state amongst others.
