YILLAH COMMISERATES WITH VICTIMS OF POGROM, SUES FOR SYNERGY AMONG PLATEAU ELDERS.

A Kanke born humanitarian and Europe based business magnet, Mr. Dennis Yillah has commiserated with victims of sustained and systematic genocide in Plateau communities of Bassa, Riyom and Barkin-Ladi by blood thirsty herdsmen.

In a condolence message from his Europe base, e-mailed to newsman in Jos, Yillah condemned in unequivocal terms, the systematic ethnic cleansing and land grabbing antics of the marauders, and berated the Nigerian authorities for exhibiting gross incompetence in its primary responsibility of securing lives and property of its citizenry.

While chiding those basking in the recent unfortunate massacre of hundreds of natives in some communities in Plateau state to make political gains, the Chairman Yillah foundation opined that this is the best time for all Plateau sons and daughters at home and diaspora to eschew all political and ethnic disparities and unite against our common enemies who have planted seeds of discord amongst us, and successfully divided us along ethnic lines with the view to systematically annihilate us one after another.

Mr Yillah expressed utter shock and disbelief that Plateau which prides itself as home to the finest generals Nigerian military has ever produced, who have gallantly fought to keep the country United is brazenly raped in broad daylight with nobody to come to her rescue.

He bemoaned the continued silence of the likes of Gowon, Gbong Gwom Jos, Useni and other respectable statement of Plateau origin to attract attention of the international community to the on going genocide in the state.

He argued that going by the scores of casualties daily recorded as a result of the menace of the herdsmen in the middle belt, much attention as the on going fight against Boko-Haram insurgency in the Northest needs to be applied, if the federal government must show seriousness in bringing the situation under control.

The philanthropist made a passionate call on youth across the 17 local government areas in the state to gird their loins towards salvaging our lands from being annexed by these angels of doom.

He charged the youth leaders to take particular interest in the political activities within their immediate confines so as to ensure that only politicians with genuine interest of the people are given leadership mandates in future elections. He observed that the current crop of politicians saddled with leadership of the state and federation are self serving, and deserve a whole scale overhaul in order to pull the nation out of the doldrums. “Nigeria is in quagmire and requires nationalistic leaders with extraordinary zeal and commitment to extricate it from the woods, not sectionally minded leaders who view the country from the prism of ethnic and religious religious sentimentality “, he added.
