Speaking at the End of Session/ Graduation Ceremony, the Director of White Diamonds Academy Jos, Dr. Ibilibor Chukwuemeka stated that apart from the school’s high academic standards, the school also places emphasis on Character Education, teaching of Core Values and Life skills. He stressed that the school is committed to grooming a fine crop of learners who will better the society and the Nation at large.
White Diamonds Academy also graduated her first High school students who had superlative performances in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and who have meritoriously secured admissions into universities.
The Director said the school also places lots of emphasis on ICT and that the school operates a blend of Nigerian/British curriculum to enrich the learning experience at White Diamonds Academy.
Also speaking on the topic ‘Value Based Education – the role of the school and the home’ at the graduation ceremony, Prof. Matthew Sule, the Executive Chairman of the Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board commended the efforts of the school management and teachers for continuously raising future leaders and adding value to humanity and the society.
He disclosed that parents and schools have critical roles to play in mentoring children that are highly equipped and knowledgeable for the task of leadership to guarantee a sustainable society. He said the erosion of values has given rise to the various vices in the society as such learning must be accompanied with character moulding thus ‘our educational approach should be value based’
He said that parents have a responsibility to train and nurture children to a high level of responsibility and accountability.
White Diamonds Academy is grooming students that are physically strong, mentally alert, emotionally stable, culturally sound and socially efficient.
Admission into Kindergarten, Elementary (Primary) and High (Secondary) school for the 2021/2022 academic session is in progress at White Diamonds Academy.
