Former Plateau State governor, Senator Joshua Dariye and Senator representing Plateau South in the National Assembly, Jeremiah Useni, yesterday said they were working hard to end the crisis in the state.
The duo spoke at the weekend during a thanksgiving service and dedication of the newly renovated COCIN church in Langtang North local government area of the state.
They called on Plateau people to continue to pray and also tolerate each other and ensure that lasting peace is restored in the state.
Useni condemned the recent killings of innocent lives in the state and called on the entire citizenry “to remain calm and stand in solidarity with one another as the collective resolve of citizens of the state is to remain as one united people in spite of ethnic and religious differences.”
He also called on the people to support President Muhammadu Buhari and their state governor, Simon Lalong, to gain quality representation and democratic dividends.
He assured members of his constituency he would not fail them, but attract projects that would better their living conditions.
On his part, Dariye described Useni as a man who has impacted positively on people of the state.
He said the three senators from the state were working hard to ensure restoration of lasting peace to the state.
Dariye also called on the citizenry to tolerate each other and learn to live peacefully with one another.
