With less than 48 hours to Eid-el kabir celebration, the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Nasiru Oki has issued out tips to Muslims faithfuls as they embark on prayers across the country. He said, all Muslims faithfuls should ensure they go to prayer grounds with very little bags (or none if possible) and that they should ensure they park their vehicles at least 300m away to ensure that criminals do not sneak in within and wreak havoc.

Oki made call in Jos the State Capital, Tuesday, at the Command’s headquarters, while briefing journalists on his Command’s readiness to ensure a hitch free Eid-el Kabir celebration.

The Police Chief warned that car owners must pack their cars 300 metres away from prayer grounds and that bottles and  beverage cans should not be brought anywhere close to the ground. He re-iterated that his men will prevent anyone found violating the rule.

“We will do everything within the ambit of the Law to ensure that insurgents do not take advantage of the celebration to perpetrate their heinous act. Oki assured.

The Police Boss added that the Command has made adequate arrangement with the Federal Road Safety Corps to come out in their numbers to control traffic and to ensure that worshippers do not hang on vehicles while going or returning from prayer grounds as it is the usual practice.

The Police Commissioner promised to ensure that queue at checkpoints will not be an occurrence and that crowd control measures will be undertaken to ensure that insurgents do not penetrate to perpetrate their dastardly acts.
