VWANG TRADITIONAL COUNCIL, COMMUNITY LEADERS, ILLUSTRIOUS SONS AND DAUGHTERS, PAY VISIT OF GRATITUDE TO SENATOR GYANG.

Senator I. D. Gyang on Saturday 27/08/32 played host to the people of Vwang District, Jos South local government who came on a thank you visit to express gratitude for the commendable impact of his representation on their community.

The high-powered delegation comprised the Traditional Council, community leaders and illustrious sons and daughters of the district.

Chairman of Vwang Development Association, Da. Jonah Choji Goru, poured out the heart of the delegation to the Senator, thanking him immensely for positively impacting the community.
He said, “we are proud and commend you for being a voice in the National Assembly. We also thank you for identifying and standing with Vwang and making real democracy dividend in our community among which are;

  1. Construction of 90 shops rural market, Vwang,
  2. Installation of street lights at Farin Lamba, Turu,
  3. Co-sponsoring Vwang new year festival for two consecutive years,
  4. Active involvement in facilitating the coronation of Gwom Chugwi, Vwang.
  5. Facilitating employment opportunities for some.of our youths.
  6. Direct intervention in resolving the impasse on Karl Khum University.
  7. Providing empowerment for youth, women and widows and scholarships for students.

In his remarks, Da Davou Y. Nyango, an elder from Vwang said, “You distinguished yourself so well that you became Plateau’s voice in the Senate. We are deeply pained that the primaries were not favorable but only accept it as the will of God. We commend the maturity with which you responded and handled the outcome.”

Ngo Elizabeth Lowang- BEWDA President Vwang, in her remarks said the Women of Vwang are boasting over the market because they now have a conducive environment for their trading activities.

Mr. Emmanuel John Mangu – the BYM President of Vwang, described the Senator as a father, mentor and role model to the youths. He described him as a reputable and high-performing Senator.

Da Gyang Dudu, BECO President Worldwide, who was present in his capacity as a Vwang stakeholder said of the Senator; “You delivered well on your assignment in the Senate and have become a notable politician with national profile. Anybody requiring something more than what you have remarkably accomplished is simply being mischievous.”

To cap it all, His royal highness Da Gyang Balak – the Dagwom Rwei Vwang, showered encomiums on the Senator for impacting the entire constituency of Plateau North, Vwang in particular with credible representation and indelible projects. He expressed the view that development politics which Senator Gyang epitomizes should be celebrated and emulated.

Responding, Senator Gyang thanked the royal father and the Vwang community for their kind words and encouraging remarks. He said that he was overwhelmed by their show of love.

He commended the unity of purpose, enterprising spirit and resilience of the people of Vwang which was worthy of emulation.

He further stated that the rural markets he built across Plateau North among many other projects, were a deliberate strategy at stimulating the local economy and enhancing household income in addition to instilling the culture of trading and enterprise.

He assured the delegation of his hope in God for a better and brighter future even as he appreciated the avalanche expression of goodwill messages and solidarity visits towards him across the state and beyond.
