Following our initial report of the multiple attacks on villages in Barkin Ladi LGA, it has now been confirmed that the Reverend of the Burnt church (COCIN LCC Abonong), Rev Adamu Gyang Wurim was along with his wife and three children burnt to death in the attack.

The attack, suspected to have been orchestrated by herdsmen, saw the village overtaken by heavy gun fire, leading to pandemonium and confusion. In the ensuing confusion, a man who attempted to escape was killed instantly, while another old man said to have been dazed by the artillery was also hacked to death.

The reverend and his family, who took fortress in their house were killed when the house was rounded up and quickly set on fire.

Also, a women who lives close to the close was critically injured by gun fire and has been taken to a nearby hospital.

This will be the third attack which has happened in the last week. Its will be recalled that late last week ViewPointNigeria reported of an attack around JUTH, where the driver of the current speaker and other were killed. Additionally, an ambushed was laid on three unsuspecting farmers in Bisichi as they returned from their farm.
