With the Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) National Election around the corner, a Historian, Seasoned Administrator, a Technocrat, Data Analyst, Information Management Expert, a Geography Graduate of one of the best University in Nigeria ABU Zaria, who is also a holder of Masters Degree in Rural Development and former Deputy Director with National Population Commission who retired in 2018, Da Chollom Dung Gyang said he is ready and willing to contribute immensely and selflessly to the apex Berom Organisation.
He said he will bring to the table integrity, transparency, innovation, encourage digitalization, credibility in record keeping, foster unity and work with other tribal associations toward a better and greater Plateau State and Nigeria as a Nation.
He has served the Berom Nation in various capacities, assisted the internally displaced persons from Ropp in Rawuru with relief materials and presently supporting tens of youth through academic assistance.
Da Gyang has appeared severally on AIT, Channels etc to speak against the killings in Plateau State, North Central and Nigeria which he said potents great threat to national security, unity, prosperity and development.

UNVEILING DA CHOLLOM, DUNG GYANG NATIONAL GENERAL SECRETARY CANDIDATE BEROM EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL ORGANISATION (BECO)
Da Chollom, Dung Gyang was born to the family of Late Da (Evangelist) Dung Gyang Logwong and Ngo Vou Ganto Dung of Fan District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area Plateau State, Nigeria on 18th February, 1958.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
In the quest of his parents to build his capacity and equip him for the future, they enrolled him to Ekan Primary School Fan Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau State where he had his First School Leaving Certificate from 1967 to 1972.
In order to gain more education, he attended Teachers College Toro, Bauchi State from 1973 to 1977 where he obtained his Grade II Certificate.
His thirst for more education saw him attending School of Basic Studies of the Famous Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria from 1978 to 1979 for his Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB).
His quest for education also saw him into Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1980 to 1983 bagging a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography having passed his IJMB the preceding year.
Not tired of self development, Da Chollom, Dung Gyang went back Ahmadu Bello University Zaria for his Masters Degree in Rural Development from 1986 to 1988.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Da Chollom, Dung Gyang started his civil service career as a Class Teacher with the Education Department of B/Ladi LGC from 1977-1978.
He was also a Secondary School Teacher during his Compulsory National Youth Service Corps period from 1983-1984.
In his search for greener pasture, he secured employment as a Lecturer with School of Preliminary Studies Keffi (Defunct) and grew to the post of the Head of Department of Geography.
His search for greener pasture didn’t end at School of Preliminary Studies Keffi, as he secured employment with the National Population Commission (NPC) where he grew successfully to the rank of Principal Registration to Deputy Director from 1990 to his retirement in 2018.
MAJOR ASSIGNMENTS CARRIED OUT:
-Head, Migration Unit, National Population Commission.
-Project Coordinator, Internal Migration Survey in Nigeria 2010.
-Project Director, Nigeria Youth Migration Survey 2014.
-Member, Presidential Committee on the Development of Nigeria’s Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan 2014.
-Member, Presidential Technical Working Group on the Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan, First Operational Plan (FOP) 2017.
WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS/SYMPOSIUM ATTENDED:
-Attended the 9th African Symposium for Statistical Development in Gaborone, Botswana, 2012.
-Attended the Workshop on Improving Migration Data Generation, Organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), in Ethiopia, 2014.
-Participated and Facilitated in Numerous Workshops/Meetings sponsored by the International Organization for Migration (IOM-Nigeria), in Nigeria.
