The Plateau State Association (PSA), UK chapter held its second social meeting of 2013 on the 26th April 2013 at the residence of Mr & Mrs Yakubu Choji in East Acton, London. In attendance were several eminent Plateau personalities and professionals who reside in the UK and Nigeria.

The meeting proceeded in its usual informal manner, with discussions of topical Plateau and Nigerian issues by pockets of the individuals present. These discussions proceeded, whilst a variety of Nigerian delicacies and drinks were served in typical Plateau manner.

Mid-way through the parley however, the president, Mrs. Choji broke social protocol to announce the passing of one of the members of the association – Dr Isaac Gukas. She updated the house on happenings leading to the distinguish member’s passing and opened the floor for tributes and suggestions on how to support the funeral arrangements. 

Several individuals paid glowing tributes to the late gentleman, including Dr. Mafulul, Mr. Plems Kyentu, Mr. Yakubu Choji, Mrs. Choji and Mrs. Zwancit Dazang. The president then, requested the Father of the Association (Mr Large) to lead the house in a minute’s silence in respect of the immense contributions of Late Dr. Gukas to the development of Plateau state and PSA UK.

Following this, more informal discussions were held, with additional food and drink rounds.
