Over dependence on non existent government jobs has hampered the collective reasoning of Plateau citizens especially the youths and this has domesticated poverty and lamentations amongst us.
Arguably, Plateau youths are reasonably educated ,skilled and reckoned with in Nigeria. Jos has produced a number of successful careers especially in the entertainment industry. Sadly, most of the Jos graduants who have dared to excel are non indigenous people of the state while the natives of Jos continue to use their talent on internet praises or assessment of politicians.
From my analysis, many Jos guys have excelled in various areas of endeavour like ICT Sim Shagaya, Daser, Winifred Wang etc are an example. In the area of medicine, many are doing well. What’s worrisome however is, many have surrendered their fate to political cyber thuggery, praise singing, pursuit of non existent opportunities and blaming of their misfortunes to the political class.
In this covid 19 era, the entire world has pressed a reset button, the dynamics are changing, a new world order is in the pipe, how prepared are you to face it? Are you prepared for any opportunities availed by government as mitigating options?
As I write this piece, the government has rolled out an all time single digit loan facility through NIRSAL microfinance bank with a flexible payment plan but guess what? You MUST be prepared and legible to apply! How? You must have a registered business firm, MUST have have a reasonable evidence to show how tenacious you have thrived in in business. Now, how prepared are you, yes you to apply for this life changing opportunity?
Basic things to do going forward;
1.Register a company with CAC
2.Identify a business and start
3.Ensure an account is created for the business
4.Be meticulous in developing the business
5.Ensure you are prudent with the business
6.Develop a growth plan
7.Be consistent with added value services
Once you try it, you may realise that wealth has existed around you without you knowing. Take advantage of your environment and stay safe.
