Nanpon Miri who witnessed the happening said “The incident took place yesterday morning when gunmen suspected to be armed Fulani militia stormed the village and stole over 100 cows grazing on the field.”

Nanpon Miri who witnessed the happening said “The incident took place yesterday morning when gunmen suspected to be armed Fulani militia stormed the village and stole over 100 cows grazing on the field.”

Miri added that the villagers mobilised and chased the Fulani militia who abandoned the cows and opened fire on the villagers before escaping into the bush. Two of the villagers died on the spot while four others sustained injuries. The rustlers killed the third person in an adjourning village as they were escaping.
