Nelson Mandela once said, “Biographies are but clothes and buttons of a man. The biography of a man cannot be written.”
Dr. Albert Kelong Alkali was born in Shendam and grew up in his home Moekat Village. He had his primary school education in Moekat at LEA Primary school and proceeded to ST. Joseph College Vom from 1980 to 1985.
He attained his West African examination Council Certificate at Saints Joseph’s college Vom in 1985.
On completion he got admitted to the School of Basic Studies in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and later got admitted to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Ahmadu Bello University Samaru Zaria.
In 1991, he graduated from the university, had his one-year internship at the Plateau Hospital Jos and later proceeded for his NYSC in Abuja with the FCDA (General Hospital Nyanya).

After his NYSC, he was employed by the Federal Civil Service and worked with The Ministry of Defense (Military Hospital Ikoyi). He later joined a local Pharmaceutical Company called Zoomota Nigeria Limited and later a multinational company called Roche Nigeria Limited in charge of the North East.
In 1999, he left Roche and founded MEDIXAL NIGERIA LIMITED, and I have been working as the CEO till date.
His other Educational Qualifications that he has attained include; West African Post graduate College of Pharmacists- Fellowship -2005, Doctor of Pharmacy – University of Benin -2015, Certificate of Achievement – Effective Livestock production with low use of Antibiotics- Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU)- 2020, Program Diploma in Strategic Management International Business Management Institute Berlin, Germany (2020), Certificate in Digital Transformation -International Business Management Institute Berlin-Germany, and Certificate in Leadership and Team Development -International Business Management Institute Berlin. Germany
Whoever renders service to many puts himself in line for greatness- great wealth, great return, great reputation and great joy. Dr. Kelong Alkali does not believe that the purpose of life is to be happy alone, rather he thinks the other purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be honorable and to be compassionate about one’s homeland. That’s why he has always rendered services to his state (Plateau State) governmental, private and humanitarian.

Among these services include; He was a member of the Plateau State Transition Committee. He worked in the Tourism Sub Committee, He brought the National Conference of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria to Jos in 2017 with 5000 Pharmacists and 130 Pharmaceutical Companies in attendance, He was the Vice Chairman of the State Selection Committee of the Federal Government’s extended Special Public Works Program for Plateau State in 2021, A President nominee 2021 of the Rotary club of Wuse Central Abuja District 9125, Director of Projects, Vocational Service, and International Service of the Rotary Club of Wuse Central Abuja, He Donated drugs to a Hospital and a PHC in Shendam LGA.

Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievements, and success have no meaning and that is why Dr. Kelong Alkali strives to continue achieve more by aspiring for this office. Among his achievements include; Chairman Gamai Unity and Development Organization FCT Branch, Chairman Gamai Youth Movement Abuja, Chairman Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria FCT, National Chairman Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, Vice President Rotary Club of Wuse Central Abuja District 9125 (2021), UNOFFICIAL MEMBER of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, MEMBER Pharmacy Tower building Committee, Chairman Pharmacy week FCT, Member Polio Committee of Rotary District 9125, Financial Secretary of VOBA Abuja, and MEMBER of the Global Fund drafting Committee.

The illustrious Dr. Kelong Alkali has been bestowed upon numerous awards for his diligence, hard work and a great testament to his working capacity. The awards added to his trophy cabinet include; Pharma Alliance Leadership Award, Merit Awards from Niger State, FCT and Plateau State branches of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Distinguished Pharmacist Award, Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Excellent Leadership Award of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Presidential Award by the PSN President, Pfizer Award of Excellence in the Field of Community Pharmacy, Appreciation Award by the Ambassadors Club of National Hospital Abuja, Award of Excellence in Leadership by the Eti-osa Forum of the ACPN, The most supportive Board member Award of Rotary club of Wuse Central Abuja, Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, and Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.
Hobbies are great distractions from the worries and troubles that plague daily living. My hobbies include; Driving, Swimming, Reading, Football, Traveling, Martial Arts and Jogging
