Plateau state commissioner of information and Communication honourable Dan Manjang has disclosed on his Twitter handle that Engineer William, Sunday and Nura have built an automated door mount machine which allows only people wearing face masks access through the door.

The statement says “the machine has a facial recognition
feature which detects when a mask is worn and the door automatically slides open but remains shut when a Facemask is not detected.

“Other features include an automated dusk to dawn lightening system, a wireless closed-circuit television (CCTV) recorder, automatic temperature test and body disinfecting system which automatically sprays germs disinfectants on a person who has been screened for Facemask and allowed into a glass chamber after taking a temperature check.”

Dan Manjang further said “I am highly impressed that these engineers have used the pandemic period to find a solution to curb the spread of the disease in the State and country at large. Government will support them and encourage their likes to come up with possible solutions to kick the pandemic out.”

Manjang encouraged plateau engineers to continue to take advantage of every opportunity to invent new things for the growth and development of the state and Nigeria at large.
