Transfer of Appropriate Sustainable Technology and Expertise (TASTE ) in collaboration with the Society for Water Sanitation and Hygiene (NEWSAN) were at Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos on Wednesday 21st March, 2024 to identify with the patients of the hospital. The visit was part of preparations towards the commemoration of the 2024 World Water Day.
In a symbolic presentation to signal the upcoming World Water Day, TASTE and NEWSAN made a donation of bags of pure water to the patients. Mrs. Jessica Obadiah the Deputy Coordinator NEWSAN announced that the theme of this year’s water day is “Water for Peace” and they therefore felt that providing water to patients will help in alleviating their plight as water is life.
While making the presentation of the water bags to some of the patients, the Project Officer of TASTE Mr. Jonathan Makan prayed to God Almighty for their healing.
The Head of Nursing Services of the hospital, Mrs Lois Sarki, on behalf of the CMD, appreciated TASTE and NEWSAN for choosing and coming to the hospital and for this kind and symbolic gesture. She reiterated the importance of water to life and said it will bring a little relief to the patients and their relations as the receive treatment.
