Viewpoint Nigeria has confirmed a raid on Plateau State University Bokkos (PLASU) by persons suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Saturday 14th July, 2018.

The attack was targeted at the Female Dormitory where a lady was reported to be injured with threat of sexual harassment and murder from the attackers during the raid as Viewpoint Nigeria gathered.

The Students have earlier raised alarm on indiscriminate grazing by herdsmen within the school premises which they said potent grave danger considering the crisis situation being experienced in some parts of Bokkos LGA and the State.

The students are calling on the management of the institution to put up adequate security on ground and stop grazing with in the school environment on order to curtail the threat and continuous harassment.

The Students said they are no longer safe with the manner they were attacked and nearly being raped if not for God’s intervention.

“Plateau State University Bokkos is no longer safe for we students. Last night one of the hostel in the University was being attacked by some group of Fulani herdsmen. They burgled the window and got into the room. One of the girl’s was beaten mercilessly and was told by the herdsmen that they are going to rape them and then kill them.Thank God for God’s intervention. Something should be done to this herdsmen that have turned the school environment as their grazing land. The school management should do something about this issue because our lives matters alot.”
