The Special Task Force (STF) operating in Plateau state has dismissed six soldiers operating under its command about a year ago since the takeover of the command by Major General Henry Ayoola. The STF stated so to assure people that it takes accusation against its operatives seriously and does take necessary appropriate action.

Speaking at the end of the peace tour in Jos South LGA, the STF Commander said that the soldiers were dismissed for violating the rules of engagement. General Ayoola said that the task force absolves itself from connivance in the attacks taking place in the villages and that the STF under his command has never being partial or involved in mayhem but rather respond to crisis.

General Ayoola said that any erring soldier will be tried and punished according to military laws which are very stringent and that STF will continue to do its duty for the good of everyone without favouritism or partiality. He enjoined people to give full support to the STF to achieve the much desired peace.
